Aggie & Mike's Wedding Video
Mike and Aggie re-built this car and showed the video at their wedding.
All the guests were blown away. This has to be the coolest wedding
video I have ever seen.

We made the bridal gown and bridesmaid dresses.
Below are a few close up shots of the dresses.
The bridal gown was made of matte
satin. With large rosettes on the side.
Each flower had a rhinestone sewn
in the centre.
Bridesmaids dresses were made of
two tone silk chiffon.

I was looking for the perfect jewelry to go with a bridesmaid dress. Too big, too small, too bold, too simple...ect. You know how it is when you have something in mind, but nothing seems just right.
I found a cute pair of rose gold colour earrings but they were a little short. They didn't come with a necklace and could not find one to match. Fortunately, they could be altered. I purchased 2 more pairs and a simple rose gold necklace. The only one the store had. I removed the earring wire and added it to the last section of first pair of earrings. With the 3rd pair, I attached one of the earrings to the necklace.

Did You Keep Your Bridal Gown? Why Not Wear it Again?

gown again she brought it in with a picture of
what she wanted.
We removed the lower portion of the gown at
empire and replaced it with chiffon.

Work in Progress
On August 31st my brother will be getting married and I'm in the bridal party. We are also making the bridal gown. Everyone has come for their first fitting. Here is a sneak peek at the bodice portion of the dresses. You'll have to wait until September to see the bridal gown and completed bridesmaid dresses.The moms are wearing lace.

What is the process of having a gown custom made?
Consultation
Your first meeting with us would involve, discussing ideas of what you would like your dress to look like. Most customers will bring pictures from magasines to show design elements they like, or want to combine. I would do a quick sketch to put together ideas. Then we would show suitable fabrics, and make note of choices. We would give the cost of having it made, and the amount of deposit we require (usually about 20%). Also we will give a time frame of how long it will take to make your gown. There is no charge for consultations. Usually, the customer would take some time to think about what we discussed, return for a second appointment to get measured, and leave a deposit.
1st Fitting
Usually your first fitting would be the lining of your gown. This stage is so that we can shape the gown to your body, it rarely looks like the gown you have chosen. Bridal gowns may need a second fitting in lining prior to cutting the actual fabric. You will need to have the bra, and shoes you plan on wearing with your dress, to each fitting.
2nd Fitting
The actual fabric of your gown is assembled with lining. This is when it starts to look like the gown chosen. Still not completed so that adjustments can be made. It is possible to make minor changes or additions at this point, like adding beading. If there are additional costs involved, we would let you know the amout before making any changes.
3rd Fitting
The dress is complete. If your gown fits perfectly, you get to take it home. Final payment is due at this point.
The entire process can take many months to complete, therefore we recomend you have a consultation atleast 6 months before your wedding. We have made gowns in as little as 2 weeks, so feel free to check with us, even if you require a gown in a short period of time.

Keeping Warm at Your Winter Wedding
Although it's sunny with a high of 14 degrees today, winter is usually much colder. We have several options for winter brides.
Long Coat
You could have one made using the same fabric of your gown. We also rent the coat in the photo below.
Cape Rentals
We have 3 lengths to choose from. Full length in ivory faux fur. Waist/hip length and short which falls 1-2" above elbows. We have other styles to choose from in waist length capes.
Bolero or Shrug
Not only for warmth but it might be necessary for a church ceremony. We can make either to match your gown. A polar fleece bolero is a warmer and more economical option. Photo below of a polar fleece bolero.
A wide scarf or shawl may give you just enough coverage and you can reuse it in the future over a coat. Many brides and bridesmaids use pashminas or simmilar type of shawl. They are available at most ladies clothing stores in shopping centres and are inexpensive.

2014 will be our 20th year in business. Leading upto the following year I will be writing about our work, thoughts and ideas.
Who are we? Maria recieved her pattern making diploma in Italy at the age of 13. She spent many years sewing clothes for family and friends.Then in the 80's she started making bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses for her nieces and cousins. I started by helping with simple sewing and hand sewing beads. Watching my mom I learned everything I would need to know to be able to put together and fit clothing.
In 1994 when I graduated highschool we decided to open up our business and sew fulltime. Although we still opperate our business from home I never tire of ladies surprised expressions as they walk down the stairs to our work room. "Wow..I never expected this in a home...It's just like we are in a store!"
